The company has 2 drying towers to dry different kinds of liquids
using spraying with an evaporation rate of 100 kg water/hour. We also
have the option of homogenizing and encapsulating ingredients prior
to the drying process.
There is also a test scale drier with an evaporation rate of 6
kg water/hour.
Drying and Sterilization
The Ribbon blender type driers are fitted with an external heating
system that uses thermal oil which allows drying and sterilization
temperatures of up to 100ºC. This reduces the moisture content
of powders and reduces microbiological counts to acceptable levels.
Mixtures
Our plant is equipped with three stainless steel Ribbon type mixers,
each with a capacity of 1000 kg, and two small mixers with a capacity
of 150 and 300 kg respectively. A pilot mixer with a 10 kg capacity
is used for test runs.
To mix liquids, the plant has three stainless steel reactors with
1200 liters capacity each.
Vacuum filtration
Consist of separating products that have liquid and solid phases using
vacuum pumps adapted to Buchner type filters, into solid or liquid
products.
Chemical reactions
The company has 3 stainless steel reactors with a capacity of 1000
kg with heating and cooling systems if required.
Solid-Liquid and Liquid-Liquid
extractions
The plant has stainless steel sohxlet type equipment for solid-liquid
and liquid-liquid extractions that uses using ethyl alcohol as solvent.
Milling
The plant’s dry milling capacity is provided by three hammer
mills and four Bauermeister pulverizing mills. There is a pulverizing
mill for test runs.
In the milling process we have a cone mill for soft products and
a blade mill for products that require a flake type particle size.
Filter press and centrifugal
filtration
The plant is equipped with a 20 plate and frame stainless steel filter-press
with a retention capacity of 100 kg.
For centrifugal filtration the plant has a stainless steel continuous
feeding filter with a storage capacity of 50 kg.
Sieving
The plant has 4 continuous stainless steel shaking screens to separate
powder particles using different mesh sizes according to the particle
size required for the solid product.
